It's been awhile...
 

Actually, it's been so long I've almost forgot how this works lol. Anyway, my name is Lauren and some of you might remember me from a few different boards. I started out way, way back on Charmed Boards and then I was one of the creators/owners of Perfect Ending. I've somewhat RP'd off and on after stepping away from PE on some invisionfree and jcink boards, but it has been awhile. I somehow stumbled across this place from Twitter and it's made me remember how much I miss writing. Although life is still hectic with work and such, I'd love to see if I can get back into it some.

A little about me, I'm currently living in Texas and and I turned 30 (yikes!) back in June. I'm a Corporate Trainer at Chili's, which has been awesome because it's allowed me to travel while working and opening new restaurants, but I'm hoping to start the next chapter of my career and begin manager training in the next couple months. A few of my current favorites include The Crown, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Vikings, Peaky Blinders (need to watch the new season!), Wynonna Earp, Sense8, Person of Interest, Carmilla, and Outlander. And I'm maybe just a little obsessed with Brie Larson, Natasha Negovanlis, and Claire Foy.

I think that's it. Looking forward to hopefully writing again and catching up with some, and getting to know to some of you! :)

Hi Angel! Life is really great actually, hope you've been well also! I'm absolutely in love with The Crown. I binged the second season when it was released and then went back and rewatched the first one. I'm gonna miss that cast, but really looking forward to seeing how the new one does.

I'm a sucker for a good period drama. Can't believe we have to wait until 2019 for GoT!

Soo... guess it's been awhile... again, lol. When I first joined I really was hoping to get back into writing, but then life happened. I ended up getting a new job (pretty much a promotion) as a manager at the Chili's at DFW Airport which was crazy, hectic, stressful, but awesome. And then unfortunately about 5 months after getting the job, my dad passed away very suddenly. It was really tough to deal with and I pretty much just threw myself even more into work and I bought my first house, so I focused on that too.

Now it's about a year and half since my dad passed, two years since I got the promotion, a year since I bought my house, and I got let go from my job a little over a week ago since my restaurant is temporarily (hopefully) closed because of COVID-19. :worried: So yeah, since I now I have more free time than I've had in the last few years and trying to look for some positive things to keep me from totally stressing out, I wanted to see if I could really get back into writing again. :)

So sorry to hear about your Dad and your job! Hopefully there will be many good days ahead but welcome back and if you need help with anything just ask!

All of us are stressing about Covid-19 in different ways, so we're all trying to boost each other up around here. It's definitely a good place to be.

Lauren, I'm very sorry to hear about your dad. :( That's an awful loss to have to go through. Congratulations on the promotion and on the house, those are both wonderful things. While we're super happy to have you back, I do hope that when life goes back to normal (which it will eventually), you're able to get your job back. For now, I hope that we can entice you into some distraction over here.

Thanks everyone! Yeah, the last couple years have been a heck of a rollercoaster. A lot of really good things and some really tough things, but just trying to ride out this current situation best I can. A lot of people are in the same situation.

Well if you want to start off slowly, I can recommend Fish Creek as it is one of our newer games so we're all still plotting a lot :D
