Soo... guess it's been awhile... again, lol. When I first joined I really was hoping to get back into writing, but then life happened. I ended up getting a new job (pretty much a promotion) as a manager at the Chili's at DFW Airport which was crazy, hectic, stressful, but awesome. And then unfortunately about 5 months after getting the job, my dad passed away very suddenly. It was really tough to deal with and I pretty much just threw myself even more into work and I bought my first house, so I focused on that too.
Now it's about a year and half since my dad passed, two years since I got the promotion, a year since I bought my house, and I got let go from my job a little over a week ago since my restaurant is temporarily (hopefully) closed because of COVID-19.
So yeah, since I now I have more free time than I've had in the last few years and trying to look for some positive things to keep me from totally stressing out, I wanted to see if I could really get back into writing again.

So sorry to hear about your dad.
All of us are stressing about Covid-19 in different ways, so we're all trying to boost each other up around here. It's definitely a good place to be.

Lauren, I'm very sorry to hear about your dad. That's an awful loss to have to go through. Congratulations on the promotion and on the house, those are both wonderful things. While we're super happy to have you back, I do hope that when life goes back to normal (which it will eventually), you're able to get your job back. For now, I hope that we can entice you into some distraction over here.

Thanks everyone! Yeah, the last couple years have been a heck of a rollercoaster. A lot of really good things and some really tough things, but just trying to ride out this current situation best I can. A lot of people are in the same situation.
